Carmela has been a student of yoga for over 20 years having been fortunate over the years and now to be mentored by some beautiful wise teachers.
She completed her studies via Victorian Institute of Yoga Education and Teacher Training and received a Diploma of Yoga Teaching by distance education.
"Yoga on its many levels is a part of my everyday life. It has helped me through times of loss and teaches me lessons in humility patience & tolerance. Its journey is a path of self realisation. Its developing a sense of stillness in the mist of chaos. Its being present.
As a teacher / mentor of yoga for me its about sharing a piece of the journey with others in their own personal life path."
A Hatha class will likely be a slow-paced stretching class with some simple breathing exercises and meditation. This is a good place to learn relaxation techniques and become comfortable with yoga.
Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose.
Hatha yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
