Riverina Yoga Studio was founded in 2012 in Griffith in order to support and foster a sense of mindfulness and peace in the surrounding community. We offer a variety of approaches to achieve and maintain your optimal health. Whether you are experiencing pain or simply want to improve your physical and mental wellbeing, Riverina Yoga Studio provides a healing and friendly environment to do so.

Sue loves to incorporate all of her studies into her classes to bring students a sense of relaxation and ease.
She combines gentle movement with a thorough understanding of asana , breath and relaxation. Sue specialises in Restorative Yoga classes . As the ultimate relaxation practice, these classes help students to deal with an increasingly complicated and stressful world.
Her classes are open to all ages and ability.

Janine's passion is to share the life changing benefits of a committed yoga and meditation practice with her students. Through her warmth and generosity, Janine has helped hundreds of students achieve profound changes on physical, mental and emotional levels. She acknowledges and accepts where each student is at and through many years experience she is able to tailor each class appropriately. Janine loves seeing the transformative power that yoga and meditation has on her students. She teaches in the Iyengar Yoga method which is characterised by attention to detail and alignment. Often props are used to achieve and hold poses to enhance their benefits.

Sally works 1-1 in her Yoga therapy practice to help clients with a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, disease, movement difficulties and Parkinsons disease.
Sally's teaching is underpinned from her extensive study within the linage of T Krishnamacharya, the father of modern yoga practice and her clinical work as a Yoga Therapist.
In her classes she incorporates breath based movement, encouraging her students to inquire and explore. Yoga offers us myriad practices to 'wake us up' & notice that with work and attention we can become more stable in body, mind and breath.
Beginners are welcomed with a start where you are approach. Sally has skill in seeing the individual within every class and adapts the practice to suit, you are welcome to attend anytime.

A Hatha class will likely be a slow-paced stretching class with some simple breathing exercises and meditation. This is a good place to learn relaxation techniques and become comfortable with yoga.
Hatha yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose.
Hatha yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
VINYASA FLOW YOGA

This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

Classes are based on the most commonly known Yoga of technique: Hatha Yoga – ( Sanscrite: Ha – sun , tha – moon) - Literally meaning Yoga of effort or force.
Special attention is given to pranayama techniques (breath control) and to simple chanting, exploring the benefit of vibrations for your body and mind.
Suitable for everyone interested in making a positive change.
